他是一个很让人头痛的孩子，逃学、打架、偷东西……老师尝试过帮助他，可是没有成功，都放弃了，每当人们提起他都说：“这个孩子没救了”他没有朋友，他的父母也放弃了他，几乎不和他说话，甚至不愿去看他一眼，就这样他慢慢的放弃了自己，心里总是说没有人会关心我了，我是世界上最不幸的孩子。
但是有一次改变了他的人生，有一次绘画比赛中，他也报名了，但是他没有想真正的好好参赛，却想着怎样捣乱，结果出来了，让人跌破眼镜的是他居然是第一名那作品，没有美丽的色彩、没有超出别人的手笔，画的仅仅是一幅简笔画，上面画着一对中年夫妇在家笑着做饭，门开着看到了外面有几个孩子在踢足球。天上什么也没有就是简单的一幅画，却震撼了每一个人的心灵，他上台说：“这幅画其实是画给我自己的，我没有想到会得奖我已经好久都没有看见爸爸妈妈对我笑了，而那个小孩子就是我自己，我希望我有个朋友。”说着说着眼泪落了下来。画中的事物是多么的美好，他笑的是多么的灿烂啊!这就是他心中渴望的人生啊。事后评委对他说：“孩子，记住天生我材必有用，不要轻易的放弃自己啊，无论什么事只要相信自己你就可能会成功，天生我材必有用记住孩子。”
