about 1,700,000 volunteers who offered service for Olympic Games. Actually, an increasing number of people become volunteers every year in China.
Volunteering actions are of tremendous benefits to both those in need and the society. Olympic Games are a good example. As is known to all, volunteers played an active role in Beijing Olympic Games. Without them, it would be a tough task to hold this un-precedent Olympic Games. Therefore, we can say that it was those volunteers who ensured the success of these games.
As modern college students, we should get actively involved in volunteering activities. Last week my parents and I took a two-day trip to Emei Mountain in Sichuan. Like everyone knows, its famous mountain with all kinds of plants and animals. The weather was fine. One possible version
Recently, our class have held a heated discussion about whether evening cla
sses should be cancelled. Opinions vary from person to person.
Some of them are in favour of the idea that the evening classes should be c
ancelled. To begin with, canceling evening classes means they have more time fo
r autonomous learning and resting. Besides, students will have more time to dev
elop their hobbies such as reading, playing sports, drawing and so on.
However, others object to this idea. From their point of view, compared wit
h studying at home, studying at school may lead to high study efficiency. What
s more, the problems existing in study can be coped with as soon as possible by
means of communicating with teachers and cooperating with classmates.
Weighing pros and cons, I prefer studying at home because Im willing to fo
rm the habit of being independent and Im inclined to arrange study time myself。
